Summary:
Time Flies follows a small bird as it
makes its way through the dinosaur exhibit at a museum. While flying through the different exhibits
the dinosaurs transform from skeletons to living creatures. Soon the whole scene has transformed to a
setting straight out of prehistoric times.
The bird is swallowed by a Tyrannosaurus Rex and as it travels through
the mouth the dinosaurs return to their skeletal shapes. This book shows how much time has changed and
how fast it goes by. I would use this as
a writing exercise. I would show the
book and not say anything. Then I would
have the children write what they think happens on each page.
